YAKSUTEO

Yaksuteo is a cafe and dessert shop. The name means mineral spring, the kind a neighborhood walks to for water and stays a while. We drew that spring as a hand-etched landscape and built the cafe's key visual from it. Capybaras sit in the scene, each numbered like a footnote. On the cookie gift box the landscape wraps the outside and continues inside the lid, where the capybaras and the cookies hide in a seek-and-find scene. The gift does not end when the lid comes off. It asks for a second, slower look. What begins as packaging ends as a short story.
